Icelandair has launched sustainable amenity kits for Business Class passengers, combining eco-conscious materials with Icelandic cultural storytelling. Designed in two distinct shapes and crafted from reusable Kraft paper, the kits emphasize the airline’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.
To further enhance the experience, the kits feature "artwork by Icelandic artist Sara Riel; her botanical Flóran design—adapted from a public mural in Reykjavík—appears on the bag exterior, sleeping mask, and product packaging." The mural was originally created in collaboration with local students, whose imaginative plant identities inspired the illustrated design.
As a meaningful touch, three postcards depicting Flóran’s floral maps are included as a gift from the artist. In terms of contents, the kits include "a bamboo toothbrush in paper packaging, a recycled TC sleeping mask, recycled polyester socks, Verso skincare items, and an Icelandair leaflet." Altogether, the kits offer a refined, sustainable, and locally inspired inflight experience.
