'Pop Up Pizza Hut' Pops Up on Rivals' Doorsteps During Lunch Hour

The ‘Pop-Up Pizza Hut’ is a portable giant pizza box that unfolds to serve quick, tasty Meal-For-One boxes right where hungry lunch-goers are—often outside other busy restaurants. It infiltrated long lines and proved that Pizza Hut’s deliciousness doesn’t have to come with a wait -- even serving the brand's famous Pineapple Pizza.

In Hong Kong, lunch hour is sacred, with only one hour allotted and an average queuing time of 30–40 minutes, leaving little time to actually eat. Recognizing this, Pizza Hut set out to give people more of their lunch hour back. The pop-up box traveled across Hong Kong, surprising shop owners and delighting lunchtime crowds.

The campaign was a fun, flavorful way to reclaim lunchtime. By bringing pizza straight to the people, Pizza Hut made lunch faster, easier—and way more exciting.
